Really nice work on this. How have you been laying down the shadows? Is this with the side of the charcoal stick? It has a nice texture to it.

tend to scribble with a stick then work a rubber blade over it to smooth it out... and utilise that canvas texture we talked about!

Thank you for the information. I particularly like your charcoal works as it has a great texture to it and utilises that wonderful strength of charcoal that it creates those lovely dark blacks.
